Organisation

As head of housekeeping, you will be responsible for the chambermaids and boys.
You work under the responsibility of the rooms division manager. You give operational guidance to chamber maids and boys.

Purpose

• You will be responsible for the daily implementation of the work organisation and planning of the cleaning of rooms, public areas, halls, offices ...

• You take care of the distribution of linen.

Main tasks

• You ensure the daily execution of cleaning activities based on checklists.

• You are responsible for task allocation according to the schedule.

• You give work instructions and are responsible for the training and supervision of employees.

• You are responsible for the necessary stock of linen and reception items.

• You prepare all supplies for maintenance and linen.

• You control the work according to work sheets and guidelines and check the consumption of cleaning products and materials.

• You check the hours worked.

• You check the cleaned rooms, sanitary facilities and public areas.

• You check presentation, order, cleanliness and hygiene according to the guidelines.

• You check appearance and hygiene of your team.

• You oversee laundry lists and linen stocks.

• You alert the technical service in case of malfunctions or defects and check repairs.

• You handle customer complaints, solve problems, provide information and ensure the necessary service (extra linen, cleaning of guests' clothes).

• You are responsible for communication between the head of housekeeping and the cleaning staff.

• You call in cleaners for urgent cleaning work.

• You will take part in all tasks if necessary: cleaning of rooms, sanitary facilities, public areas, arranging rooms, moving furniture ...
