Vacancy - DISHWASHING STAFF

Can you enjoy spotless dishes to the fullest? Do you scrub every speck of dirty dishes with ease? Then you might be the dishwasher Hotel De Blanke Top is looking for. During your shift, you'll be responsible for washing dishes and part of the cleaning.


Organisation

As a dishwasher, you work under the responsibility of the (shift) manager of the washing kitchen, the kitchen manager or the manager. You do not give leadership.

Purpose

You will be responsible for washing dishes and cleaning.

Main tasks

  • You start up the dishwasher.

  • Collecting and sorting dishes by type: glasses, plates, cups, cutlery, etc.

  • Dumping waste and leftovers in bins and sorting empties.

  • Arranging the dishes in baskets according to type and pushing them through the dishwasher or wash in the sinks.

  • Scouring pots and pans.

  • Taking the washed dishes out of the machine, checking their cleanliness and placing them in the appropriate area, e.g. trolleys, shelves, cupboards, etc.

  • Arranging cutlery and drying dishes properly.

  • You regularly check the operation of the dishwasher, e.g. hot water, supply of detergents ...

  • You regularly change the water in the sinks.

  • You clean the dishwasher after use, and you clean filters and dishes.

  • Maintaining and cleaning workshops and installations: scrubbing, sanding, degreasing, disinfecting, etc.

  • You carry out various cleaning tasks.

  • You collect rubbish bags.

  • Signalling faults or breakages.

  • You stand in for colleagues.

You may also be responsible for the following tasks:

You wash off (soak, scour, degrease, disinfect):

  • Large dishes.

  • Kitchen equipment.

  • Work tools, e.g. kettles, cooking showers, fridges, carts, baking trays, hot water baths, fryers, ovens, steam hoods, colanders, ladles ...

    You deposit waste and food residues in bins.

  • Checking cleanliness and putting things in their designated place, e.g. trolleys, shelves, cupboards, etc.

  • Regularly changing the water in the sinks.

  • You maintain and clean workshops and installations and perform various cleaning tasks.

  • Collecting rubbish bins

  • Signalling faults or breakages.

  • You stand in for colleagues.

After the service

  • You clear the tables and do the mise en place for the next shift.

  • You arrange and put away serving equipment.

  • You ensure order and cleanliness in the room, with the exception of thorough cleaning.

  • You participate in the preparation and execution of festivities (e.g. fair), banquets and buffets.

  • You report technical defects to e.g. fridges, coffee machine ...
